The Dishonorable Discharge of Private Pitts
"[The elegantly tough] Brooke Turner takes on the emotionally and physically challenging role assiduously and expertly tackles the task of invoking sympathy for the unexpected antihero. Turner auspiciously plays several ages and several variables of emotion in a compact plot full of twists and turns." -Center on the Aisle
"Turner is absorbing and inscrutable. With transparent ease, she shifts from Jenny in her teenage years, a hopeless wanderer, to a 20-year-old self-affirmed patriot Private Pitts. A scandal scars her brave façade enough that Pitts once again transforms—this time into a social reject and prisoner of the very institution she swore to uphold. Turner grasps ten years of Pitt’s life with grace and grit in a performance filled with keen nuance." -Artem Yatsunov Theatre is Easy
Here is a highly effective actress. Tall, dark-haired with a sculptured, made-for-the-stage face, compelling haunting eyes and a stage presence that was all but hypnotic, Turner plays the neurotic wife who fears yet still loves her evil-minded husband, a role both divisive of talent yet with a Bergman-like ability to bring the competing halves to a unity to get on with life. Turner did all this with ease and aplomb.

One of the highlights of “Merry Wives” was the performance of Brooke Turner as Mistress Quickly. Turner's Mistress Quickly nearly chirps with joy while the plot Machinations play out. [She] is like a lusty little sprite flittering about her scenes, occasionally singing her lines.
